Working with Syllables

The children were looking at the pictures, saying the words and clapping the number of syllables each word had. They then sorted them into groups depending on how many syllables they had.

Houses and Homes

We have been looking at art by the artist Hundertwasser and have used his techniques on our own house paintings.

Christmas Themed Stained Glass Windows

Primary 3DR made Christmas themed stained glass windows whilst exploring the topic of colour and light.

Primary 3DR Clay Houses

We designed our houses by looking at real houses outside. We made sketches, then made the front of a house in clay. We used the tools to add in details like windows, windowsills, doors and brick or slate patterns. We painted them ready to take home.

We looked at items from a home which were old. We talked about what they were used for, how old they might be and what they were made from. We used graphite pencils to draw them and talked about them in our gallery session.
