This summer term, our Primary 5 pupils will explore the fascinating world of Ancient Egypt through a range of engaging, cross-curricular learning experiences.
Pupils will learn about the pyramids, including how and why they were built, and will study the lives of significant pharaohs. In science, they will investigate the process of mummification, including a practical experiment in which they will mummify a tomato!
Children will also be introduced to hieroglyphics, developing their understanding by reading and creating simple messages using this ancient writing system.
