Our P6 learners have been diving deep into the decks of the RMS Titanic. To demonstrate their understanding of the ship’s complex, students stepped into the roles of maritime architects to design and build 3D scale dioramas of the onboard accommodation. How We Learned:
Explore: Students investigated the stark contrasts between the classes, from the opulent, velvet-draped First Class suites to the functional, cramped quarters of Third Class steerage.
Educate: By recreating these spaces, learners gained a physical understanding of the ship’s layout, the materials used in the early 20th century, and the lived experiences of the passengers and crew.
Enjoy: Learning came alive through hands-on construction! Using everything from recycled materials, our students took pride in making history real.
