The Board of Governors and Principal of Portadown Integrated Nursery and Primary School are delighted to confirm that the design and planning process for a new school building and outdoor learning environment is well underway. A state-of-the-art new school will be built on a generously sized site approximately half a mile from the current accommodation.  
 
We have been waiting a long time for this and it is great to know that all our efforts have now been rewarded. The new accommodation will help ensure that current and future generations of children will get the best possible educational opportunities. 
We are delighted with the progress made by the Consultant Team from McAdam Design, the Department of Education and the school regarding the floor and site layout plans

On the 19th May 2023 the school was assessed and achieved the Eco-Schools Green Flag. Schools that achieve the standard demonstrate that their work goes above and beyond to protect our planet, their actions are truly inspirational.

The assessor complimented the school beyond its ECO credentials. He commented enthusiastically on the ‘energy, enthusiasm, and happiness’ that he noticed at PIPS.
